Assessment and Evaluation
REPORT CARD
All students receive a standard report card at the end of each of the 3 terms. MODIFIED VS. ADAPTED PROGRAMS A student who is on an adapted program follows the cycle-level objectives and receives a percentage-based mark that is included in the class average; a student on a modified program does NOT follow cycle-level objectives and receives a mark based on effort that is not included in the class average. |
INDIVIDUALIZED EDUCATION PLAN
The IEP is recognized as a working, legal document in which the plan for a student's academic success is laid out. It is created for particular students by teachers and parents working collaboratively. The IEP outlines annual goals and specific objectives for a student, as well as strategies that will best support him/her in achieving success. |
PROGRESS REPORTS
For a student who follows a modified program, the teacher is required to fill out a progress report on him/her at the end of each term. This report details what that student worked on during the term, his/her progress, and what he/she needs to improve upon in the next term. |
